Todd Sattler, Attorney
Todd is a native of Dickinson, North Dakota. He received his Bachelor of Arts magna cum laude from St. John's Univerisity in 1985 and then worked as a paralegal for two years at Keker and Van Nest, LLP in San Francisco. He returned to the midwest to attend law school at the University of Minnesota where he graduated cum laude in 1990. After law school, Todd clerked for the Honorable Judge Bruce Hartigan in the Minnesota District Court, then joined the Minneapolis firm Gregerson, Rosow, Johnson & Nilan, Ltd. where he focused on litigation as an associate and later shareholder of the firm. In 1999, Todd returned to North Dakota to work in the Office of Attorney General. As an Assistant Attorney General, Todd served as general counsel to the North Dakota Industrial Commission Oil and Gas Division, State Land Department, and State Water Commission. He was a procedural hearing officer for cases before the Oil and Gas Division, was lead attorney for the state in the Tobacco Master Settlement Litigation and was the lead North Dakota attorney in the multistate litigation trial team in the United States v. Oracle antitrust case. Todd is licensed in North Dakota and Minnesota and is admitted to practice in the North Dakota and Minnesota state and federal courts, U.S. Court of Appeals 8th Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court.
